Children

Oh we came out, shining, silver, covered in dreams

Bringing wonder, amazement, oh a beautiful hello

Some imagination, music, poetry, destruction

Hanging on to colours we painted

In your mind

Before we were born

We knew them already

We saw them with unopened eyes

Another shimmering blue dream

Red streaking through

The saxophone and piano

Kisses, oh love.

We left you wordless

Soundless

Breathless

Your heart as light as a raindrop

Fell, dissipated.
